Google might be working on a Find My Device app for Wear OS as revealed months ago in the Pixel Watch 3’s intro video.
“launched a TV remote control Tile and the ability to see live Nest Doorbell camera feeds with the ability to respond.
The sixth screen shows what appears to be a Find My Device experience and/or application. We see the device name, familiar “Seen” last (with an equally familiar “10/4 11:03am” date/time), and identical phone icon pin against a map. There’s also battery level and “Play sound” action, though it uses a Wi-Fi icon for some reason.
Since launch, the Pixel Watch has had a “Find My Phone” Quick Settings Tile that lets you “ring your phone even when the phone is muted or on vibrate.” What’s shown above could be an expansion of that rather than a full Find My Device app.
But bringing the app to Wear OS would be nice for tracking tags or headphones, and would be a fast way to deliver Find My Device to all Wear OS watches on the market.
This video was released five months ago when the Pixel Watch 3 was announced, but was spotted today on Reddit.
Find My Device for Wear OS would make for a great Pixel Watch Feature Drop in the coming months, or it could always debut with the next-generation wearable later this year.
