DPO Conference 2024

 Supporting DPO Success Conference – Croke Park, November 29

On November 29, 2024, the DPC hosted the Supporting DPO Success conference, in the Cusack Suite of Croke Park. The conference was aimed at supporting DPOs and their needs, focussing on providing practical, adaptable examples of GDPR compliance.

With over 200 in attendance the seven sessions throughout the day covered everything from data transfers, DPO skills, and engaging with the DPC.

    • DPC Conference Session 5: DPO/Professionals – The Skills Needed to be Effective in the Role: Kate Colleary (Pembroke Privacy) and Paul Jordan (CEDPO).



     

    • DPC Conference Session 6: Protecting Children Online: Understanding your Organisation’s Obligations: Jenny Dolan (DPC) and Niamh Hodnett (Coimisiún na Meán).



     

      • DPC Conference Session 7: Engaging with the Regulator: What to expect and what is expected: Siobhán Brown (DPC), Cian O’Brien (DPC), Andrew Carroll (DPC) and Colin Rooney (Arthur Cox).
