The View treated her when she recently appeared on the ABC talk show to discuss her upcoming memoir Unscripted.

During an appearance on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“You know, I was actually hoping that it was going to be more personal on The View, but it was what it was,” she admitted. “They just wanted to grill me about Bobby.”

She added, “I mean, I don’t think the ladies on ‘The View’ asked me one question about my book. But, you know, that’s OK.”

Hines’ husband is often the subject of discussion on The View Hot Topics table. The ladies even recently criticized him for claiming Tylenol can be linked to autism. But they could not hold back their opinions about Kennedy when Hines joined them on Oct. 14.

The criticisms began early when The View‘s Sunny Hostin called out Kennedy’s lack of medical experience. Hines attempted to defend Kennedy, saying he “dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people’s health,” but tensions were already running high.

“The problem, respectfully, is that your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history,” Hostin said, adding that Kennedy “also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, [and] a lot of confusion.”

Hines scrambled to defend Kennesy, asking, “How is he less qualified than an economist? How is that possible? He spent his career studying toxins, studying people’s health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job.”

Hostin and Hines shared a tense back and forth as Hostin pointed out, “He’s connecting circumcisions to autism!”

But the interview reached a more lighthearted note when Joy Behar asked Hines, “Does he or does he not have a brain worm?”

“It ate just a little bit of his brain and died, so don’t worry,” Hines promised.
