Over the years, Republican Rep. Sunny Hostin—shocked by how much they could agree on.
While their views on President Donald Trump differed vastly, Greene’s “America first” argument, thoughts on the War in Gaza, and desire to end the government shutdown were very much in line with what the (mostly) liberal co-hosts preach on a daily basis, so much so that Hostin had to point out how shocked she was by how much they had in common.
“I’m sitting here just stumped, because you are a very different person than I thought you were,” she said, to which Greene replied, “Well, you’ve only seen me in clips and headlines, and that’s not fair.”
Hostin went on to list the number of issues Greene has gone against her party on, while also naming some of her more controversial moments, such as “spats” she’s had with her colleagues, and her previous promotion of QAnon conspiracy theories.
“But you seem to have grown past that,” Hostin argued. “I feel like I’m sitting next to a completely different Marjorie Taylor Greene. Why the change? Why the evolution? You’ve gone so far right, you’re on the left now.”

Greene quickly countered that she’s “not on the left,” but explained that “both sides” tell lies about the other.
“All of this two-party fighting, you guys are all victims of the political industrial complex,” she said. “It’s built on fundraising and fighting and toxic garbage. That exists all over social media, but it’s not gonna solve our problems in this country.”
“I haven’t changed. I was a victim, just like you were, of media lies and stuff you read on social media,” she added, reminding Hostin that she and her co-hosts have “attacked” her many times on The View because of things they “read about [her] that weren’t true.”
“We have!” Hostin agreed.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
