Kelly Ripa Tells ‘Live’ That Mark Consuelos Has Told Her “Nothing” About His ‘9-1-1’ Character’s Fate: “I Don’t Even Know If He Dies”
Live‘s announcer Déjà Vu, who has previously filled in as co-host on the daytime talk show, stepped in for Consuelos on Thursday’s episode, which was previously recorded in front of a live studio audience. Déjà also announced her and Ripa ahead of their entrance, as she does for Ripa and Consuelos every morning.
“I loved hearing you announce us,” Ripa told Déjà. “Because I looked at Déjà backstage and I go, ‘But if you’re here, who’s going to announce us?’ She goes, ‘Maybe it’s going to be me.'”
Déjà teased that she was “doing double duty,” and jokingly requested “double the money” from Live‘s EP Michael Gelman.
Ripa agreed, “Yes! That’s an excellent point, Déjà.”
As for where Consuelos was during Thursday’s episode, Ripa didn’t specify, though she noted that her husband and co-host “has been traveling like crazy.”
