DJI has rolled out a game-changing firmware update for the new Power 2000 portable power station, v01.00.12.00, bringing brand-new Energy Saver capabilities, including Scheduled Periods and Grid-Tied ESS, now accessible via the DJI Home app.
What does this mean for users? DJI Power 2000 can now time your charging and discharging, so your devices draw energy when it’s cheapest — or even better, feed surplus solar energy back into the grid — maximizing energy efficiency and potentially lowering electricity bills. While grid-tied features are presently restricted to Germany, the United Kingdom, France, and Spain, DJI promises to widen that availability soon.
To enable grid-tie mode, you must be connected to a solar power system and a supported smart meter, currently the DJI Home app.

Since its debut, the DJI Power 2000 has earned praise for its compact yet substantial design. With 2048 Wh of LiFePO₄ capacity, it delivers up to 3,000 W continuous output, ample for most household appliances. Users love its rapid recharging — 0 to 80% in just 55 minutes, and full recharge in about 75 minutes via a wall socket or faster through combined AC and DC (solar/car) inputs.
It’s also a true UPS, switching power to the battery in a lightning-fast 0.01 seconds during outages — perfect for sensitive electronics. Connectivity is another strong suit: with four AC outlets, multiple USB-A and USB-C ports (including 140 W fast-charging USB-C), and SDC ports that let you rapidly recharge DJI drones or hook in to other accessories.
Scalability sets the Power 2000 apart — up to ten DJI Expansion Battery 2000 modules can chain together, taking your total capacity to 22,528 Wh — enough to power a typical US home for most of a day.
Basically, considering how robust, fast, and upgradable the system is, it’s a savvy investment that grows with your energy needs, especially in a smart home or eco-conscious setup. And now, with its latest Energy Saver update bringing next-level smart energy management, solar-integrated households aiming to reduce bills can contribute clean power back to their grid.
