DJI Mini 4 Pro drone receives friendly firmware patch

If you already own the v1.19.0 on both iOS and Android. All this means is that DJI has quietly fixed some known issues — nothing flashy, but everything smoother.

That might seem underwhelming at first glance (“just a fix-patch”), but sometimes those little under-the-hood improvements are the ones that keep your drone reliably happy to fly. When things just work, it means more time in the air and fewer “why won’t it cooperate?” moments.

What makes the Mini 4 Pro such a joy to update (rather than grumble about)? A few reasons:

  • It weighs under 249 g, giving it a feather-light feel yet packing in serious capability.
  • The camera system is impressively capable: a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 48 MP stills and true vertical shooting for social-friendly framing.
  • Video lovers get 4K recording (up to 100 fps depending on mode) and 10-bit support for richer colour.
  • Safety-first: omnidirectional obstacle sensing means the drone watches out around it (front/back/side/down) for added confidence mid-flight.
  • Strong flight performance: around 34 minutes of flight time (with the standard battery) and a compact form factor that fits easily into gear bags.

In short: while this firmware update doesn’t add a flashy new mode or major overhaul, it reinforces the foundation. Think of it like tuning your favourite bicycle: you weren’t expecting a new frame, just a smoother ride. And with the Mini 4 Pro already offering great features in a compact, travel-friendly package, this little firmware tune-up is a welcome bonus.

For you as a user, here are a couple of pointers:

  • After updating, double-check your calibration (IMU, compass) if you fly in a new location or complex environment.
  • Ensure your remote controller firmware is also up-to-date, so you keep everything in sync:
    • v08.00.0000 (DJI RC 2)
    • v01.01.0300 (DJIRC-N2)
    • v01.01.0300 (DJIRC-N3)
    • v01.00.0400 (DJIRC Pro2)
  • Even though it’s “just fixes,” it’s a good chance to clear old logs, double-check SD card health, and go into your first flight post-update with a clean slate.

All in all: Fly more, worry less. Your DJI Mini 4 Pro is now in a little better shape, and that means you spend more time being creative, capturing stories from above, and less time troubleshooting.
