Overview
Small producers are required to report on the amount and type of packaging they supply under Extended Producer Responsibility regulations.
The first declaration, based on 2024 data, is due by 1st April 2025.

Is your business classified as a small producer under the Packaging Extended Producer Responsibility (pEPR) Regulations?
A business is classed as a small producer if either of the following apply:
- You have an annual turnover between £1 million and £2 million and are responsible for supplying or importing more than 25 tonnes of packaging in the UK
OR
- Your annual turnover is over £1 million and responsible for supplying or importing between 25 tonnes and 50 tonnes of packaging in the UK
You will be classed as a large producer if both of the following apply:
- You have an annual turnover of £2 million or more
AND
- You are responsible for supplying or importing more than 50 tonnes of packaging in the UK
