जहाँ तक मैं समझा हूँ फोन में हिन्दी तब नहीं दिखती यदि उसके फॉण्ट में हिन्दी के वर्ण शामिल न हों, मैंने प्रयोग के तौर पर अपने फोन का फॉण्ट किसी अन्य सामान्य अंग्रेजी फॉण्ट से रिप्लेस करके देखा तो हिन्दी की जगह डिब्बे नजर आने लगे। फोन के फॉण्ट का अध्ययन करने पर पाया कि उसका फॉण्ट विण्डोज़ के Arial Unicode MS फॉण्ट की तरह होता है जिसमें एकाधिक भाषाओं के वर्ण शामिल होते हैं तो यदि फोन के फॉण्ट में हिन्दी वर्ण नहीं हैं तो हिन्दी बिलकुल नहीं दिखेगी।
अब ज्यादातर स्मार्टफोन में डिफॉल्ट फॉण्ट को रिप्लेस करने (या ओवरराइड करने) का तरीका होता है। सिम्बियन तथा ऍण्ड्रॉइड की विधि तो नेट पर उपलब्ध है ब्लैकबेरी की भी होगी। आप अपने फोन का डिफॉल्ट फॉण्ट Arial Unicode MS (या कोई अन्य फॉण्ट जिसमें लैटिन एवं देवनागरी दोनों के वर्ण हों) से बदल कर देखें, हिन्दी नजर आने लगेगी। ध्यान रखें कि Mangal से न बदलें क्योंकि उसमें अंग्रेजी (लैटिन) के वर्ण नहीं होते तो फोन में अंग्रेजी की जगह डिब्बे दिखने लगेंगे।
हाँ हिन्दी का सही तरीके से नजर आना दूसरी बात है, यह इस बात पर निर्भर करता है कि फोन के CTL (Complex Script Layout) इंजन में इण्डिक लिपियों हेतु व्यवस्था है या नहीं। हाँ हो सकता है ऑपेरा मोबाइल में हिन्दी सही दिखायी दे, मेरे नोकिया ५८०० में हिन्दी सही प्रकार नहीं दिखती लेकिन ऑपेरा मोबाइल में सही दिखती है।
तो आप पहले तो फोन का डिफॉल्ट फॉण्ट रिप्लेस करके देखें कि हिन्दी सही रुप में दिखती है या नहीं, यदि नहीं तो ऑपेरा मोबाइल डाल कर देखें कि उसमें कैसी दिखती है।
एक अन्य उपाय स्काइफायर नामक ब्राउजर है जो कि फोन में हिन्दी न दिखने पर भी हिन्दी वेबपेज सही दिखाता है लेकिन कुछ समय पूर्व से ये ब्लैकबेरी के लिये आना बन्द हो गया है। खैर वैसे भी यह आखिरी उपाय है क्योंकि इसमें ऑपेरा मिनी/मोबाइल जैसी सुविधायें नहीं हैं।
कृपया परिणाम से हमें भी अवगत करायें।

स्काईफायर ब्राउज़र भी अब उपाय के तौर पर प्रयोग नहीं हो सकता क्योंकि उसको बनाने वाली कंपनी ने यह सेवा उन लोगों को देनी बंद कर दी है जो कि उत्तरी अमेरिका तथा यूनाइटिड किंगडम में नहीं हैं। कंपनी के अनुसार आधिकारिक रूप से केवल इन्हीं बाज़ारों में वे सेवा प्रदान करते रहे हैं, बाकी विश्व तो ऐंवई प्रयोग कर रहा था जिस पर उन्होंने अब रोक लगा दी है।

धन्यवाद, आप सभी का जिन्होंने मेरी समस्या का हल ढूँढने का प्रयास किया।
ऑपेरा का प्रयोग मैं पहले ही करके देख चुका हूँ, उससे समस्या का समाधान नहीं होता। आप लोगों के सुझाने पर इस बार ऑपेरा-हिन्दी को डाउनलोड करके देखा उसमें में हिन्दी की जगह डब्बे ही दिखायी देते हैं।
मुझे लगता है ऐसा हिन्दी समर्थित कोई फोंट ना होने की वजह से है। मैने सारे (कुल 11) फोंटस को डिफॉल्ट करके देख लिया लेकिन समस्या बनी रही है।
मुझे ब्लैकबेरी मे नये फोंट स्थापित करने का तरीका नहीं मिला। कुछ लोगों के अनुसार ब्लैकबेरी में नये फॉंट नहीं लगाये जा सकते। मैं Arial Unicode MS का प्रयोग करने के लिये भी तैयार हूँ, क्योंकि मेरे पास 4 जीबी की मैमोरी है, लेकिन इन्हे स्थापित कैसे करुं ?
पहले मेरे पास ब्लैकबेरी का पुराना वर्जन था तो मैं समझता था कि शायद वह युनीकोड समर्थित नहीं है लेकिन इस बार नया व लेटेस्ट ब्लैकबेरी खरीदने के बाद इस बात कोई गुंजाइस नहीं है। मैनुअल में भी लिखा है कि यह युनीकोड समर्थित है और इसमें चायनीज, कोरियन, जैपेनीज सभी भाषाएं चलेंगी। तो फिर हिन्दी क्यों नहीं ?? क्या हिन्दी वाले लोग ब्लैकबेरी इस्तेमाल नहीं करते।
कोई कड़ी, सुझाव मिले तो बताइयेगा।

मैं स्टोरेज मैमोरी की बात नहीं कर रहा था वरन् RAM की बात कर रहा था, ऑपरेटिंग मैमोरी जिसमें सभी चालू फाइलें आदि लोड होती हैं, फाण्ट भी। यह आपके फोन में 256MB से अधिक होगी तो आश्चर्य की बात होगी! :) यदि आप फोन का मॉडल नंबर बता सके तो पता कर सकूँगा कि उसमें कितनी RAM आती है।
और जितनी उपलब्ध होगी उसमे से अधिकतर ऑपरेटिंग सिस्टम खा जाता है, हर फोन के साथ यही मामला होता है।

ओ.....रैम तो 256 एम बी ही है। मेरा मॉडल 9700 बोल्ड है। ऍप्लीकेशन मेमोरी
में फ्री स्पेस 102 एम बी दिखा रहा है तो इससे शायद ऐरियल युनीकोड भी चल
जाता, थोड़ा स्लो होकर। लेकिन उसे स्थापित करने का तरीका तो पता ही नहीं
है।
बताने के लिये धन्यवाद।
एक बात और क्या किसी को पता है कि आई-पैड में हिन्दी चल सकती है या नहीं। कुछ दिनों पहले एक आई-पैड पर हाथ आजमाया था लेकिन डिफॉल्ट सैटिंग से तो हिन्दी नहीं दिखी, अब एक मंगवाया है आने पर ही पता चलेगा।

आइ पेड मे हिन्दी चलानी चाहिए , मेरे पास मैक बुक है उसमे हिन्दी धड़ल्ले से चलती है !

वैसे, यदि एरियल युनीकोड का कम मेमोरी वाला विकल्प चाह रहे हैं तो कोड 2000 फ़ॉन्ट प्रयोग कर सकते हैं. ये मात्र 2 मे.बा. का है. डाउनलोड लिंक है - http://www.code2000.net/code2000_page.htm
