Jio Opens Free Gemini Access For All Users: Check If You’re Eligible, How to Claim

Reliance Jio has started offering all its users free access to Google AI Pro (Gemini) for 18 months as part of its latest partnership with Google. Initially, the offer was limited to users aged 18–25, but Jio has now extended eligibility to all age groups. The move aims to make advanced AI tools more accessible across its massive user base, giving subscribers a chance to explore Google’s AI capabilities at no extra cost.

To claim Jio’s free 18-month Google AI Pro subscription, users must have an active Jio SIM card with an unlimited 5G plan. Once that’s confirmed, open the MyJio app and look for the “Early access” banner on the home page. Tap on “Claim now,” which redirects you to a new browser page. After reviewing the plan details, scroll down, tap “Agree,” and you’re done, your Gemini Pro subscription will be activated and visible in the Gemini app.

The Google AI Pro plan, which typically costs ₹1,950 per month, unlocks a premium experience compared to the free version. It grants users access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro AI model and advanced tools for image generation and in-depth research through Nano Banana and Deep Research features. This allows for a more powerful and personalized AI interaction than what the free tier offers.

A standout feature of this tier is Veo 3.1 Fast, which lets users create AI-generated videos using simple text prompts, complete with native audio for storytelling or creative projects. Developers also benefit from enhanced access to the Gemini Command Line Interface (CLI) and Code Assist IDE extensions, both offering higher rate limits for smoother workflows.

Subscribers can also integrate AI seamlessly across Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Drive. The plan includes 2TB of shared storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos, along with access to additional AI tools like Whisk, Flow, and NotebookLM, making it a comprehensive productivity and creativity suite powered by Gemini.
