Sussanne Khan Mourns Mother Zarine Khan’s Death, Shares Touching Note on Instagram

Interior designer and entrepreneur Sussanne Khan paid a heartfelt tribute to her mother, Zarine Khan, who passed away in Mumbai on November 7 at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments. Zarine, wife of veteran actor Sanjay Khan, was remembered by family and friends as a woman of grace, strength, and warmth, someone who left behind a lasting legacy of love and resilience.

Sussanne Khan shared an emotional video on social media showing her sitting on her late mother Zarine Khan’s lap, calling her the “soul twin” of her life. In her touching note, she wrote, “All I am today is because of this amazing woman. She is my god, my mother, and my life,” expressing how deeply Zarine shaped her as a person.

In a longer tribute, Sussanne poured her heart out, describing her mother as her “bestestttttt friend, my god, my life, our beautiful Mummy.” She added, “You are always going to be our guiding light. You taught us to live life our own way with grace and love. We love you beyond love, beyond life. Until we meet again and laugh and dance together, you took all our hearts with you (sic).”

Her sister, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, also paid tribute by sharing a video of their mother singing Aaj Jaane Ki Zid Na Karo. She wrote, “To my mother, my soulmate, the woman who touched many lives with her love, warmth and shine, you will be missed because no one can ever be like you.” Farah added that she would honour her mother’s memory by keeping the family close and carrying forward her legacy of love.

Zarine Khan, wife of veteran actor Sanjay Khan, is survived by her husband and four children, Sussanne, Zayed, Simone Arora, and Farah. Her last rites were held in Mumbai, with Sanjay and Zayed performing the rituals and her daughters standing beside them. Members of the film fraternity, including Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Shabana Azmi, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Bobby Deol, visited to pay respects, while veteran stars Hema Malini and Saira Banu remembered Zarine for her kindness and elegance. Hrithik Roshan, Sussanne’s former husband, was also present with the family during the ceremony.
