The layering as I implement it:

Framing (encoding/decoding)
Session (stream state, shared connection state))
HTTP (frame mapping, semantics)

So by session here I mean the set of stream state (priority, flow
control, etc.) and connection state shared between streams (session
flow control, header compression).
