The time machine strikes again:

    % egrep 'exec /bin/sh ./configure' config.status 
      exec /bin/sh ./configure '--with-pydebug' '--with-libs=/usr/lib/libMallocDebug.a' $ac_configure_extra_args --no-create --no-recursion

though in this case I think it may be Dennis Ritchie's or Ken Thompson's
time machines, not Guido's. <wink>
