About Gorgon City

From initially coming together for what was supposed to be a one-off collaboration, North London duo Gorgon City helped take a new generation of dance music worldwide with their deep, bass-driven house sound. Kye “Foamo” Gibbon and Matt “RackNRuin” Robson-Scott released their first EP, The Crypt, in 2012 and quickly broke through with their 2013 track “Real”. Capitalising on the momentum, in 2014 Gorgon City released their debut album, Sirens, whose danceable grooves, pop-vocal structure and guest features—including MNEK (“Ready for Your Love”), Anne-Marie (“Elevate”) and Jennifer Hudson (“Go All Night”)—cemented their crossover success. While Gibbon and Robson-Scott have continued to bring big pop hooks to their growing catalogue, they just as often wear their underground influences on their sleeve, whether it’s peeks of grime and breakbeats or low-end-heavy club weapons. “With every album, we’re constantly trying out new things,” Gibbon told Apple Music, “experimenting with new sounds, being inspired by what we’re hearing on the road.”
