When my youngest sister was born, my mom gifted me “The Monkees: Greatest Hits” on cassette as a gift “from the baby.” This was my first tape ever, and, as a six-year-old, I listened to it constantly. Tell us why you chose this song. “Light Night Mountains All That” Our new song “Light Night Mountains All That”- it’s set in a liminal space, where the days, nights, peaks and valleys aren’t as they seem. This song also represents many hours of fun collaboration unspooling crazy musical threads with my bandmates. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When we opened for The Decemberists at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, they lowered a beautiful rat piñata onto the stage to surprise us during our set. It left me completely speechless with joy. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We’d love to play shows in Australia, New Zealand, or Brazil: anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere really, we’ve never been!
