Tami Neilson

Canadian singer/songwriter Tami Neilson brings a bluesy swagger to her mix of country, soul, and rockabilly, which has earned her chart success and a large following in her adopted country of New Zealand. Initially part of the Toronto family band the Neilsons, she launched a successful solo career in the late 2000s. With her powerful voice and retro aesthetic, Neilson became a breakout star when her fourth album, 2014's Dynamite!, reached number ten on the New Zealand pop chart. Building on her momentum, she sent her next three albums into the Top Ten, then topped the chart with 2022's award-winning Kingmaker, which featured "Beyond the Stars," her hit collaboration with country legend Willie Nelson. She later honored Nelson with the 2024 tribute album, Neilson Sings Nelson, then released the cinematic Neon Cowgirl in 2025.
