A woman jumped 44-stories to her death from an East Side apartment building yesterday, police said.
Christine Tanabe, 47, plunged from a ledge at 303 East 57th St. at about 4:45 p.m., landing on a construction scaffolding.
It was unclear whether Tanabe, whose address is listed in Sag Harbor, L.I., had an apartment in the building or if she was visiting, police said.
