Scientists have identified a gene that can forecast how aggressive a man’s prostate cancer will be.
The research may lead to a test to identify the strength of a cancer and to the development of new drugs.
Doctors now use the PSA protein test to spot prostate problems, but while raised protein levels can indicate cancer, they may also mean an inflamed prostate or other less serious conditions.
