INDIE filmmaker Esther Bell had an interesting idea:
Take a bunch of New York and Philadelphia political activists/squatters and get them to star in “Exist,” playing characters just like themselves.
Unfortunately, she didn’t bother to check first to see if any of these young people – she calls them “actorvists” – could act.
Be assured, they can’t.
Perhaps it doesn’t really matter: The story is so contrived and the dialogue so stilted that no amount of talent could save “Exist.”
You might say that “Exist” shouldn’t.
