APRIL 14 – “The gods did not want us to have an untraditional wedding,” laughs Diane Terrusa, who had her heart set on throwing convention to the wind. “We originally wanted a Gothic restaurant, and I wanted to wear green shoes, but the restaurant closed down after we booked it, and the shoes weren’t dye-able.” Even so, the bride maintained a bit of unconventional flair, sporting blue nail polish as she walked down the aisle. Terrusa, an actress, and Roy Googin, a consultant for a software company, made their union official at 3 West Club in their home borough of Manhattan as 55 guests looked on. Afterward, the newlyweds danced to the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” before jetting off to Thailand for a blissful two-week honeymoon.
