You should check out the puff piece on Larry Brown in Philadelphia Magazine. Only a couple of graphs were spent on the Knicks as we reported today. Brown, in an extremely rare interview, said there were “spies” watching him at the Garden.
The piece is more about how Brown desperately misses coaching, how he spends his time as Sixers executive and how he will be back on the bench one day. I say next season. Brown is looking a lot better after watching Isiah Thomas do as worse with a better cast. Isiah is on pace at the midway mark for 24-58 – one game ahead of Brown’s original Team Titanic. And I almost wonder if Brown and Marbury had any worse a relationship than Isiah and Marbury do now. He says in the story he won’t coach Philly, won’t do that to Maurice Cheeks. So bet your house Brown coaches Philly next season. Ed Stefanski is not a big fan, but the owner Ed Snider loves Brown.
Wonder if Isiah regrets taking Marbury’s side in the Brown-Steph battle?
