TENANT KILLER’S TAX BREAK

A 74-year-old Madison Avenue landlord has beaten a $230,000 city tax bill – and can now go back to serving a 20-year-to-life sentence for murdering a rent-controlled tenant.

In a little-noticed decision, the New York City Tax Appeals Tribunal last month waived Louis Hubrecht’s 2004 Finance Department bill for exactly $230,701.35, the transfer tax on two buildings at 698-700 Madison Ave.

Hubrecht was convicted in 2002 of fatally shooting Barbara Kenna, with whom he’d been feuding for more than 30 years.
