Movie: 3 ½ STARS Extras: 4 STARS (Sony, $29.96)
FULL-FRONTAL male nudity is just one of the bonuses in the “unrated” version of John C. Reilly’s sendup of pop-music biopics. Utterly desexualized, the bits and pieces are as big an in-joke as the rest. In addition to its note-perfect lampooning of “Walk the Line,” “Ray” and “La Bamba,” the DVD boasts a full disc of extras, most of which (like many Judd Apatow productions) are as funny as the film. Especially good is John Hodgman interviewing the cast in his signature deadpan style. Plus, there are full clips of the smartly stupid songs that send up and celebrate Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash.
