Knee woes bench Castillo

Big shock: Luis Castillo is out of the game with soreness in his right knee. Actually, it’s not a surprise at all that the Mets’ second baseman was pulled in the fifth inning today because of that problem. It happened when Castillo was running after a foul pop-up in the fourth.

Castillo, who began the day hitting just .190 this season, is coming off arthroscopic knee surgery on the same knee and was considered an injury risk when the Mets signed him to a four-year deal last fall.
