The first and only time I ever watched the Super Bowl was in 1989, on the day my daughter Xan was born. I was sort of a captive audience. Xan’s mom, my first wife, was a big football fan and we watched it in her hospital room not long after the delivery. So this football phobic blogger-critic is glad Rope of Silcon has thoughtfully collated nine of the 10 Super Bowl movie spots that are available online (“Angels & Demons” is MIA at this point). Not surprisingly, from my view the most impressive is for Pixar’s “Up.” I thought this one above, for “Land of the Lost,” with Will Ferrell and Matt Lauer was pretty funny, too. The ones for “Star Dreck Trek” and “Transformers 2” made no impression on me at all. What do you’all think?
