A Brooklyn narcotics cop lost part of his leg yesterday after he was struck by a car while loading prisoners into a van, police sources said.
The officer had taken part in the arrest of a group of drug suspects at about 5 p.m.
He was putting the suspects into the van at the intersection of Avenue U and East 34th Street in Marine Park when two vehicles collided nearby. They jumped the curb, pinning the officer’s leg. The cop, a five-year veteran, was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where one of his legs was amputated below the calf, the sources said.
