It is growing increasingly possible Giants center Shaun O’Hara might miss Sunday’s game against the Titans.
O’Hara sat out of practice again Thursday because of lingering problems with his left ankle and Achilles. O’Hara also sat out Wednesday and was wearing a protective boot to ease the strain on his ankle.
The Giants are trying to manage this issue with O’Hara, an injury concern that surfaced in training camp. O’Hara has been able to play in the first two games but hasn’t been forced to miss two straight days of practice yet this season.
O’Hara said the only cure for his ailment is rest. He still has time to make it back, with a practice tomorrow, and if O’Hara can get himself on the field he’ll have a chance to start at center.
If O’Hara can’t make it, it’s likely Adam Koets will move in at center. The other option is to move left guard Rich Seubert to center and insert Shaun Andrews at left guard.

LB Chase Blackburn (knee) looked as if he was doing some work with the special teams. He’s likely another week away. … S Michael Johnson (back) was not on the field and probably won’t be ready to play. … WR Mario Manningham, who missed Wednesday’s practice because of an illness, was back at work.
