Wii revealed Parkinson’s

A British mother of two is crediting the Wii with helping her learn she had Parkinson’s disease.

Julie Wilks, 54, found out she had the degenerative disorder after noticing that she was leaning heavily to one side when she was standing on a Balance Board playing Wii Fit, The Sun newspaper reported yesterday.

“It’s quite amazing” that a game pointed out a problem I didn’t know I had, said Wilks, a former lab technician from Guiseley, Leeds, in northern England.
