$1.5M to hosp-scar gal

A Brooklyn home-health aide whose arms were horribly scarred after a screw-up at a city hospital settled her claim for $1.5 million yesterday, The Post has learned.

Marie Louis-Jeune, 55, sued Coney Island Hospital after medical personnel in 2008 missed her vein while hooking her up to a calcium-chloride drip — allowing the solution to burn through the skin and tissue surrounding her elbows.

“I am glad this ordeal is over with,” Louis-Jeune said yesterday after the settlement in Brooklyn Supreme Court. “Now I can go on with my life.”

The city’s Health and Hospitals Corp., which runs the facility, said it was a “fair resolution.”
