WASHINGTON — Reality bites back.
Just days after President Obama compared the drama-filled debt talks to reality TV, the White House yesterday said Michelle Obama will appear on Thursday’s episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” helping to build a house to serve homeless female vets.
The president last week walked out of a meeting after a rant by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and later said, “The American people are not interested in the reality-TV aspects of ‘Who said what?’ and ‘Did somebody’s feelings get hurt?’ ”
The first lady will help construct a greenhouse and a playhouse, the latter with “a White House theme,” said a spokesman for the show.
