WASHINGTON — Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s former top political fixer, is coming to New York Thursday to help haul in cash for his ex-boss’ campaign.
Emanuel, now the mayor of Chicago, is launching what the campaign is calling “the tristate speaker series,” with contributions of $1,000 to $5,000 going to the Obama Victory Fund. The event will be held at the University Club.
Emanuel’s brother, Ari, a Hollywood agent credited with bringing in between $50,000 and $100,000, is on the list of “bundlers” released by the campaign Friday.
