The mini-groper who has been terrorizing women on the Upper East Side brazenly struck for the 12th time Friday night, attempting to rape a 28-year-old woman near the former Tavern on the Green site in Central Park.
The woman resisted by punching and kicking him until he fled eastbound on the park path near West 66th Street, cops said.
The woman was treated at a hospital and released.
The pint-sized perv, identified as a 4-foot-11 Hispanic man with black, spiky hair, has attacked 11 women since May by grabbing at their crotches, breasts and butts and then scampering off.
Cops have been unable to catch the fiend, though his photo has been widely circulated.
The slight sicko first struck in January, when he approached a 28-year-old woman from behind, stuck his hand up her skirt and grabbed her crotch.
