Despite the rough’n’tough Ramones soundtrack and the front-row presence of the Kardashian boys club (that would be Kris Humphries and Scott Disick), the threads at Jill Stuart were ultra-femme.
Minty green and salmon pink frocks whipped up from balmy, scallop-trimmed pleats, boxy drop waists and looser-cut silhouettes ruled the runway.
Sky-high snakeskin and mirrored platforms dipped in gold glitter (a must-have come spring) will keep the Stuart girl’s flights of fancy firmly planted to the ground.
“I wanted it to look light and ethereal. It’s all about a fantasy,” said Stuart post-show. She calls it a fantasy, but we want our real-life closest to be chock full these breezy, sorbet-inspired beauties.
