Apparently the Maple Leafs’ bark was as big as their bite on Saturday.
Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski, who allegedly bit Max Pacioretty of the Canadiens in their 6-0 win on Saturday night had a hearing Monday but was not suspended or fined by the league for his actions, which were deemed inconclusive.
The incident occurred in the third period with the games outcome having already been decided. Pacioretty grabbed Grabovski from behind, putting his hand over his face, which he claimed was then bitten. Both received 10 minute misconducts after the play, and Pacioretty even showed his hand to the referee to plead his case, who apparently didn’t see any bite marks.
