Lance Armstrong was wined and dined in Tinseltown yesterday, fueling speculation that he’s peddling a movie project.
Paparazzi spotted the cancer survivor and confessed cycling cheat entering famed Beverly Hills restaurant Mastro’s, as he posed for pictures with some of his remaining fans.
Hollywood trade mags have been speculating for months that Armstrong is in talks with J.J. Abrams and Paramount to make a movie about his remarkable tale of conquering cancer and shameful cheating.
Armstrong, a former seven-time Tour de France champion, had spent more than a decade denying doping accusations before coming clean earlier this year.
The cyclist spilled his guts to Oprah Winfrey in January, saying it became easy to repeat these “perfect” lies.
“I view this situation as one big lie that I repeated a lot of times and, as you said, it wasn’t as if I just said ‘no’ and moved on,” Armstrong said.
“This story was so perfect for so long — you overcome [cancer], you win the Tour de France seven times, you have a happy marriage, you have children. It’s just this mythic story, and that wasn’t true.”
