Mike Tyson — yes, that Mike Tyson — is getting the cartoon treatment.
Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim” programming block will feature a new ’toon called “Mike Tyson Mysteries,” in which an animated version of the retired boxing champ will solve wacky problems, assisted by a trusty associate: a foul-mouthed pet pigeon.
Tyson will voice his animated alter-ego, as well as make live-action appearances on the show, which is targeted for next season.
There is no premiere date yet.
Tyson’s love of pigeons is well-documented, and was the basis of his short-lived Animal Planet reality show, “Taking on Tyson,” which aired in 2011.
