Maybe 2013 will be the year of redemption for scoundrel cheating hearts like Mark Sanford, Tiger Woods and Anthony Weiner?
A video-camera wielding paparazzi caught up with Sanford and asked if he and disgraced golfer Tiger could both be back on their game.
“Well I hope so, absolutely,” the all-smiles Republican told the TMZ camera.
Sanford last week won a special election to Congress last week, capping his remarkable political comeback from an embarrassing extramarital affair that had forced him out of the South Carolina’s governor’s chair.
Woods won the Players Championship over the weekend, showing signs of former great self. Woods has been off his game since a nasty Thanksgiving night spat with his wife in 2009, after she found out about his affairs.
Sanford didn’t want to say if Weiner, who left his Queens congressional seat after a sexting scandal, could become New York’s next mayor.
“I’m worried about trying to get it right in my own life,” Sanford said, in declining comment about Weiner.
