Jets add former Cardinals GM Graves to front office

The Jets have hired former Cardinals general manager Rod Graves as senior director of football administration.

Graves, a longtime friend of Jets general manager John Idzik, was Arizona’s GM from 2007-12. He and Idzik met as ball boys for the Eagles when their fathers both worked for the team. Graves and Idzik then worked together with the Cardinals.

In addition to Graves, the Jets announced several other front office moves. They named Matt Bazirgan assistant director of pro personnel, and named four college area scouts: former cornerback Aaron Glenn, David Boller, David Hinson and Christopher Prescott. Rick Courtright has been named NFS College Scout.

Idzik cleaned house last month, getting rid of many of former GM Mike Tannenbaum’s top lieutenants.
