She paid big bucks to find a soul mate and all she got were a couple of dates with guys who wanted to bed her, not wed her — so a top Manhattan real estate broker wants an elite matchmaker to give her the money back.
Single real estate maven Audrey Ruden filed suit in Manhattan civil court Thursday saying Richard Easton — who has appeared on “Real Housewives of New York” and was recently labeled a tenant from hell by his Manhattan landlord — is a fraud.
The top Douglas Elliman broker, who has $500 million in luxury sales under her belt, says Easton claims to offer “personalized, sophisticated, thoughtful matchmaking services provided by highly trained experts.”
But, the pretty brunette adds in her suit, “This is a lie.”
The 61-year-old was promised matches with “marriage-minded men,” the lawsuit says.
Instead, the six-figure fee got her two lousy dates with bachelors who only had an interest in short-term flings, according to court papers.
One of the dates even questioned “why she was pursuing marriage,” the suit says.
In court papers, the Upper East Side resident accuses Easton of hiring men “to create a false impression of performing the contracted-for services.”
The self-described “international playboy” blamed Ruden for the failed dates by belittling her “in a condescending and sarcastic manner,” the suit says.
In July, Ruden realized Easton “had taken advantage of her intense desire to be in a committed relationship” and demanded her money back. But he refused, the suit claims.
The whopping $100,000 fee also violates the state’s Dating Services Law preventing “purveyors of social referral services” from charging above $1,000 per client, the filing states.
Easton did not immediately return calls for comment.
Earlier this month, he was sued by his landlord for allegedly demanding oral sex from a housekeeper, ordering building staff to call him “Prince” and allowing his dog to defecate on the roof deck.
Easton, who runs his matchmaking business out of the $11,500-a-month apartment at 166 Perry St., has threatened a defamation suit against the landlord. He also recently appeared on an episode of “The Real Housewives of New York.”
Of this newest suit, Easton told The Post, “Ms. Ruden is a lovely woman for whom we wish to make happy in love.”
But, he said, she has a “strict criteria” and turned down two “wonderful, handsome, and very successful men.”
“We do not have a crystal ball,” he sniffed, adding “finding romantic love at 60 takes time.”
A judge denied the West Village condo owner’s attempt to restrain Easton from further harassing neighbors and employees, but allowed the case for eviction to proceed.
One of his competitors — celebrity matchmaker Matt Titus — was also recently sued by a former teen model, who made similar allegations that she was set up with “fake” dates.
Titus denied those claims, saying that the client was simply very demanding.
The case is still pending.
