HARARE, Zimbabwe — A lion has killed a safari guide who was tracking wildlife with a group of tourists in a game reserve in Zimbabwe.
Police spokeswoman Charity Charamba said Quinn Swales was in Hwange National Park when he spotted six lions, one of which attacked him on Monday.
Hwange National Park was home to the popular collared lion Cecil, sparked outrage in the United States. The lion that killed Swales was also collared. The collared lions are being monitored for an Oxford University study.
Charamba said none of the tourists was harmed.
