Mom says city won’t turn over records in daughter’s lunchtime death

The mother of a 7-year-old girl who choked to death on a sandwich at a Brooklyn school is suing the city for refusing to turn over records about the tragedy.

Ana Iris Santiago, whose daughter Noelia choked while eating lunch at PS 250 in Williamsburg last year, plans to bring a $25 million wrongful-death claim against the city and needs the evidence to prove her case.

“I have the right to know the background to this tragic event,” Santiago says in Manhattan Supreme Court papers filed Friday.

“I deserve the right to ascertain the complete and full circumstances surrounding my daughter’s untimely death.”

Santiago said she received an anonymous letter saying the school staff was not properly trained in CPR.

The city’s special commissioner of investigation rejected Santiago’s request for the statements, 911 recordings, videos and incident reports about the accident, saying the probe is ongoing.

A spokesman for the city’s Law Department said, “This was a tragic incident,’’ and promised to review the papers.
