Weird But True

TV host gets impaled by nail in magic trick gone horribly wrong

A host got more than she bargained for when she agreed to participate in a magic trick on live TV.

In a clip from Polish show “Question for Breakfast,” host Marzena Rogalska holds her hand over one of three paper bags for the magic trick.

Rogalska was expected to choose the right bag to slam her hand onto — a task fraught with danger, as one of them contained a hidden nail.

The trick, performed by a “Poland’s Got Talent” semifinalist, soon went horribly wrong.

A video of the breakfast TV segment appeared online soon after the episode aired and seems to show Rogalska as her hand is pierced by a very long nail after the magician gets the trick wrong.

She does not reappear on the show following the incident.

According to reports, the trick was performed correctly prior to the taping.

After the accident, Rogalska was swiftly taken to a hospital, where doctors determined the injury was superficial, administering antibiotics and a tetanus shot.
