A New Jersey teen was arrested after she was caught on camera tossing a cat out of three-story building as her friend laughed in the background, according to a report Sunday.
A short video clip The Daily Mail reported.
The cat flipped in the air at least three times before slamming onto the pavement. It picked its head up but was not immediately able to move its body.
Both Lassiter and another woman are heard cackling as they watch the cat struggle to move, the Mail said, citing the video.
“It’s dead?” one of them allegedly asks before breaking into a fit of laughter.
Lassiter was charged with animal cruelty, according to NJ.com.
The cat is currently being cared for by the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
