Cop who fatally shot unarmed black teen to appear for hearing

The officer who fatally shot unarmed Bronx teen Ramarley Graham is set to appear at a departmental hearing at NYPD headquarters Thursday to set a date for his trial, officials said.

his grandmother and 6-year-old brother, as Graham was flushing marijuana down the toilet, authorities say.

Haste was placed on modified duty after the shooting and now faces two charges for allegedly using poor tactics resulting in Graham’s death, police sources said.

Tuesday’s hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in the fourth-floor trial room at One Police Plaza. It’s expected that a departmental trial date will be scheduled during the hearing, sources said. The trial is expected to be set for January.

The two other officers who chased Graham also will be “facing discipline,” according NYPD spokesman Stephen Davis — but he did not specify what kind.

“They’ll all be individually resolved,” Davis said. “It’s some discipline in connection with that incident.”
