Barack Obama was still pleading for donations less than hour before he turned the presidency over to Donald Trump.
“I’ll make this brief: I’m emailing for $1,” he begged in the email, which had the subject line “unfortunately” and was blasted out at 10:40 a.m. Friday.
“I know things haven’t gone our way lately. But the last eight years gave us so much to be proud of. I’m not giving up . . . and neither should you.
“Will you stand with me one last time and pitch in $1 before midnight?” he asked.
