Trump transition emails dispute that Flynn acted alone on Russia

Newly revealed emails show that senior members of Trump’s transition team discussed Mike Flynn’s contacts with Russia — including one missive that said Obama’ s sanctions could upset Russia.

Transition adviser K. T. McFarland sent an email on Dec. 29 that said the sanctions were in retaliation for Russia “which has just thrown the USA election” to Trump.

McFarland appeared to be referring to Democratic arguments about the election and not actually admitting to any Russian interference.

McFarland also wrote just hours after the sanctions were announced that Flynn would be speaking with the Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak, the Times said.
