Eli Apple evades reporters to ‘take a s–t’

Call him Eli Crapple.

The cornerback added a potty mouth to the reasons he’s found himself on the Giants’ naughty list this season. The embattled second-year Giant did not make himself available to the media Wednesday afternoon, a day after safety Landon Collins called him a “cancer” to the team. While leaving reporters, Apple did divulge where his escape route would take him.

“I gotta take a s–t,” Apple said.

Apple, 22, has not publicly addressed the comments Collins made Tuesday on ESPN New York radio. Collins, considered one of the leaders of the Giants defense, apologizing for his actions and saying he would “never stop supporting” his teammate.

Collins and Apple have been publicly feuding since mid-December, when Apple denied Collins had reached out during the tumultuous times.

Apple, the Giants’ 2016 No. 10-overall pick, has suffered through a miserable sophomore season, with both on-field and off-field concerns.

Later Wednesday, the Giants announced they had suspended Apple for the final game of the season following an argument with assistant coaches at practice.
