These are the suspects wanted for vandalizing UES Republican club

The NYPD on Monday released images of the vandals who broke windows at and scrawled anarchist symbols on an Upper East Side Republican club hours before a controversial speaker spoke there.

The images, released by the NYPD’s 19th Precinct on Twitter, show the two suspects wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and jeans.

One of the suspects had a beard and was carrying a clear plastic bag during the vandalism, according to the image.

The other suspect’s face was covered by the hood of his sweatshirt. He was carrying what appears to be a brick in a yellow plastic bag.

The two suspects smashed windows and scrawled anarchist symbols on the door of the Metropolitan Republican Club on East 83rd Street early Friday before an appearance by right-wing provocateur Gavin McInnes.

They also left behind threatening notes, calling McInnes a “hipster-fascist clown” and threatening: “Our attack is merely a beginning. We are not passive, we are not civil, and we will not apologize.”

After McInnes’s speech Friday evening, members of his group The Proud Boys clashed with protesters in the street outside the club, leading to three arrests.
