Khabib Nurmagomedov on Conor McGregor bar punch: ‘He lose his mind’

Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t a fan of Conor McGregor’s latest punch.

The lightweight champ, who famously defeated McGregor at UFC 229, responded to his foe sucker-punching a man at a Dublin bar for turning down his brand of whiskey.

“I think these people have to go jail, bro,” the Russian fighter told TMZ. “They have to go jail. This happened in Ireland? What happened about Ireland government? We guys from Russia have problem with visa, but why this bullsh-t guy don’t have problem with visa in USA? How USA can give him visa or something like this, respect or job? These people, they have to go jail.”

McGregor’s brushes with the law have become common. The Irish fighter was smashing a fan’s cellphone.

“These people, they have to go to jail,” Nurmagomedov said. “I told you, this guy have no class. No respect. This is very bad for sport. Some things he doing good for sport, but right now he without his mind. He lose his mind. It’s crazy. It’s crazy and government has to smash him, this is my opinion.”

McGregor has not fought in the octagon since that UFC 229 loss. Boss Dana White doesn’t seem to plan on handing down any punishment to the prized fighter, instead hoping that the cost of his actions will set him straight.

“You get to a point where you look at a guy like Conor and you look at the bus incident in New York and the camera, the phone, the guy took the picture of him in Miami and he slaps the phone [away from him] — what’s the number?” White said. “What’s it going to cost Conor McGregor before he decides ‘all right, this isn’t worth it, enough is enough, I need to stop doing this’.”
