VMAs 2019: Date, time, how to watch, livestream info

It’s the biggest night in video music.

The Sebastian Maniscalco — airs Monday night. Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the VMAs.

What time?

Catch the red carpet and pre-show performances starting at 7 p.m. on MTV. At 8 p.m, the main ceremony starts. This year, the show takes place in Newark, NJ, for the first time ever.

What channel?

How can I watch?

For those with cable, turn on MTV.

For those without, there are several livestream options available.

MTV will be broadcasting the show live on its website and app, although you’ll need to sign in with a cable provider that carries MTV.

Popular livestreaming services YouTube TV and Hulu Live do not carry MTV.

Sling TV offers MTV as part of its “comedy extra” package for an additional $5/month when added onto one of its plans (they start at $15/month). If you have never made an account with it, you can sign up for a free trial. Just make sure you remember to cancel your account after the show.

For some performances, viewers will be able to watch live on Twitter, Variety reports.

Called the VMA MTV Stan Cam, social media users will get to vote for one of three celebrity audience members to keep a camera on during a performance.
